2Xideas AG is a manager of collective assets licensed and supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. This page describes how sustainability-related factors are treated in our research and investment process. It describes 2Xideas AG at firm level and does not form part of the documentation of any fund.
How sustainability risks are treated
Sustainability risks are integrated into our fundamental investment analysis and sector research process as part of a broader assessment of investment risks. Such risks are considered where they are deemed potentially material to the risk-return profile of an investment, alongside other financial and non-financial risk factors. The assessment is qualitative in nature and is applied in a proportionate manner depending on the issuer, sector, geography and asset class.
Sustainability risks are not treated as a separate investment objective and do not form a binding element of our investment strategies. Their consideration does not imply any commitment to achieve, reduce or target specific sustainability outcomes at portfolio level.
The availability, consistency and quality of sustainability-related data may vary significantly across issuers and asset classes.
Stewardship and voting
We exercise the voting rights attached to the holdings we manage and we communicate our voting activity to investors on request. Voting and engagement are stewardship activities. They do not constitute a sustainability objective, a sustainability characteristic or a binding sustainability constraint of any fund we manage.
Memberships
2Xideas AG has been a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment since 2019.
Fund-level disclosures
The sustainability classification of each fund is made by that fund's management company under Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 (SFDR). The binding sustainability-related disclosures for a fund are those set out in its current prospectus or offering document. Where a fund qualifies as an Article 6 product under SFDR, it does not promote environmental or social characteristics, does not have a sustainable investment objective, and its underlying investments do not take into account the EU criteria for environmentally sustainable economic activities.
The prospectus and offering documents may be obtained free of charge on request at the registered office of the relevant fund and are available in the Legal Documents section of this website.
